Our mission is to provide our customers with the best coffee while being kind to mother nature.

And that is true for every step of the process, from production to distribution.

There is so much that goes into your coffee before it even reaches your cup. When we talk about sustainability, we are considering the people, the planet, and the profit for the farmers. It’s important we learn and get to know about what we consume because that is how we gain more appreciation and respect for it, while also creating mindfulness and awareness of what we consume and the impact it has on our planet.

So much work and love goes into growing coffee beans.

HERE'S A GLIMPSE AT THE JOURNEY:

IT STARTS AS COFFEE FRUIT

☕ Coffee fruit is grown by the local farmers

☕ Coffee fruit is picked and sorted fruit by fruit

☕ Coffee fruit is processed to get the seed (the bean) out of the fruit

THEN WE GET THE BEANS

☕ The unroasted, or green coffee beans, are cleaned, sorted and prepared for sale

☕ Green coffee beans are sold either directly to roasters or to green coffee distributors

☕ Green coffee beans are roasted

☕ Roasted beans are sold and distributed

THEN YOU GET YOUR COFFEE

☕ Beans are purchased by coffee shops and end consumers for you to enjoy

OUR STORY

WE ARE A HUSBAND AND WIFE TEAM THAT DEEPLY CARES ABOUT COFFEE AND SUSTAINABILITY AND WE ARE BASED OUT OF SEATTLE.

My husband grew up in Mexico, and I grew up in Colombia. Coffee has been deeply ingrained in us since we were young. My family grew and roasted their own coffee and we spent a lot of time building connections and memories around coffee sitting at the dining room table.

Now, we do the same as a family. We were intentional with our decision to start our own coffee line after dreaming about it for 10 years. We wanted to do something together that we both loved and enjoyed, and coffee is that for us.

We value the connections we make sitting down every morning for our first cup, our afternoon catch-up, and our post-dinner cup as we unwind and connect. We wanted to bring this feeling of connection with us into our business and bring delicious coffee to our community to enjoy. Coffee for us is a language in itself and it’s part of our day-to-day life, always making life more joyful and connected.

As our family has grown, so has our commitment to sustainability. We want our children to grow up on a more cared-for earth. That’s why we are on a mission to provide our customers with the best coffee while finding new ways to do it in a more conscious and sustainable way.

OUR IMPACT

Our business not only consists of selling Fair Trade whole bean coffee in sustainable bags, but we also are building a mobile coffee bar powered by batteries and solar panels.

Our coffee bar will be the first one in Washington to be built with batteries and solar panels to power up the espresso machine and all equipment. This means no loud generators will be used resulting in no carbon pollution and a reduction in air and noise pollution.

WE ARE PROUD TO PROVIDE OUR CUSTOMERS WITH HIGH-QUALITY COFFEE WHILE FINDING SUSTAINABLE WAYS TO DO IT.

We understand the need for change in the way we live and do business because our planet has been affected greatly and needs our support. This is important because our life and the future of our children depend on the actions we take now. Change takes time, but we believe you have to start somewhere.

We care about where the coffee we sell comes from, who makes it, how it is made, and what impact this will have on our world.

We are also partnering with non-profit organizations that care about change and helping communities all over the world.
